“I read a lot of bad reviews for this excursion but I booked anyway as I really wanted to see Spinalonga. Contrary to previous reviews we had an excellent trip. We were collected efficiently, clear instructions were sent the day before. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to speak both English and German/Dutch? The trip to the Olive Factory was a lovely start to the day, as well as the stop to Agios Nikolaos, there was plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the wonderful views and do some shopping. “This is a typical large group activity. Most transport is done via double decker bus. The boat ride with swimming was the best part - the lunch was excellent for being on a boat. The English speaking guide at Spinalonga was a disappointment, mostly read excerpts from a book and gave information in a rambling, out of order way. Also, he did not show us around, stopped at only 2 places close to the entrance to make us stand for long periods while he talked. Once he was done we only had about 30 minutes to explore, which was not enough. The olive oil experience could have been good, but…”

“Was informed it was a tour totalling 6hours. However, the final part of the tour a trip to St. Nicholas and winery tour was only for people on buses. As we had drove to the boat we were left stranded even though we had paid the full amount for the tour. We had no problems on boat and swimming off boat at Mirabella but then to be told to pay 40 euros to get into Spinalonga which is rubbish and not worth it was a kick in the shins. Very disappointed with a tour that lasted 3 hours short of the 6 hours advertised.”
