“The views from the Gorge were spectacular. It’s the most beautiful walk we’ve ever been on and an amazing place, but don’t be fooled, it’s not easy. We went in mid October so low 20s was perfect temperature. Most of it was in the shade and ALL downhill but the later part of the trek was not shaded at all. The terrain was very rocky and slippery at times and very physically demanding on the knees. It’s also a 17km trek where you get picked up at 6am and dropped off at 8pm so you’ll be tired. There are water springs/refill stations everywhere so just bring 1 bottle per person.…”

“Didn’t get much from the guide- he dropped us at the top of the gorge and picked us up at the bottom. It would have been nice to know that it’s possible to buy breakfast and water at the start, and buy more water halfway down. I got some information from other reviews, but think the description could be better. That being said, the gorge is a very nice hike and we are glad we did it. Don’t expect any information about it from the guide. I personally did not get much from going to the beach, others may .”

I highly recommend wearing closed shoes, whether trekking or running shoes as the path is filled with stones, making it easy to twist an ankle or stub a toe if you're not careful. The gorge itself is stunning, featuring some beautifully narrow passages that add to the charm of the hike. We arrived at the sea after about four hours, at around 12:15 p.m. The meeting point for the whole group was at 4:00 p.m. at Rousios to get the ferry tickets. So we had something to eat and then went swimming in the sea. After this meeting at 4:00 p.m., everyone was informed that they had the next 1.5 hours free until the ferry departed.
